“Dare mighty things.” This is the hidden message that many cybernetic “detectives” deciphered in the parachute of the Perseverance robot in February this year when it landed on Mars. One of the most curious and interesting things in terms of technology is that the Perseverance has a helicopter called Ingenuity governed by the open-source Linux operating system. The processor it uses is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, used a few years ago in the Samsung Galaxy S5.
